ARUVA ACCOUNT DELETION POLICY

Welcome to ARUVA (www.aruva.in). This Account Deletion Policy explains how you can permanently delete your ARUVA account, what happens to your data once your account is deleted, and the conditions that apply to such requests. By submitting an account deletion request, you agree to the terms set out below.

1. INTRODUCTION

ARUVA respects your right to control your personal information. If you no longer wish to use our platform, you may request permanent deletion of your account. This policy describes the process, timelines, and consequences of deleting your account.

2. WHAT ACCOUNT DELETION MEANS

  • Your profile (name, photo, bio, contact info) will be removed from public view.
  • You will be permanently logged out from all devices.
  • You will lose access to bookings, subscriptions, chats, reviews, and saved content.
  • Your username/email will be released and may be reused after a cooling period.
  • You will not be able to recover the account once the deletion is complete.

3. ELIGIBILITY

  • You must be the verified owner of the account.
  • The account must not have any active disputes, chargebacks, or pending payments.
  • For Artists, all confirmed/upcoming bookings must be completed or formally cancelled.
  • For Clients, any active equipment lease/subscription must be closed and security deposits settled.

4. HOW TO REQUEST ACCOUNT DELETION

You can request account deletion using either of the methods below:

  1. Email Request: Send an email from your registered email ID to info@aruva.in with the subject line "Delete My ARUVA Account".
  2. In-App Request: Log in → Go to Profile → Settings → Delete Account and follow the on-screen instructions.

Please include the following details in your request:

  • Full name registered on the account
  • Registered email address and mobile number
  • Reason for deletion (optional, helps us improve)

5. IDENTITY VERIFICATION

To protect you from unauthorized deletion requests, ARUVA will verify your identity before processing the request. This may include:

  • OTP verification on your registered mobile number or email
  • Confirmation reply from your registered email ID
  • Government ID verification in certain cases

6. PROCESSING TIME

Acknowledgement of request Within 48 business hours
Identity verification 2-5 business days
Account deactivation (soft delete) Within 7 business days
Permanent deletion of personal data Within 30 days of verification

7. DATA RETENTION AFTER DELETION

Even after your account is deleted, ARUVA may retain certain information where required by law or for legitimate business purposes, including:

  • Transaction, invoicing, and tax records (as required under Indian tax laws)
  • KYC and verification records (as mandated by applicable regulations)
  • Records required for fraud prevention, dispute resolution, or legal proceedings
  • Anonymized/aggregated analytics data that no longer identifies you personally

All retained data is stored securely and access is strictly restricted.

8. CONSEQUENCES OF DELETION

  • Loss of access to all ARUVA services linked to the account.
  • Forfeiture of unused wallet balance, credits, coupons, or referral rewards.
  • Permanent removal of reviews, ratings, gallery items, and uploaded media.
  • Cancellation of any active subscriptions without refund (subject to Refund Policy).

9. PENDING OBLIGATIONS

Account deletion does not release you from any outstanding payment, contractual, or legal obligations incurred before the deletion request. Such obligations will continue to be enforceable as per applicable law.

10. ACCOUNT REACTIVATION

  • You can cancel a deletion request within 7 days of submission by writing to info@aruva.in.
  • Once permanently deleted, the account cannot be restored.
  • You may sign up again as a new user, but past data, ratings, and history will not be recovered.

12. GOVERNING LAW

This Account Deletion Policy shall be governed by the laws of India. All disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Delhi.


Note: This policy forms an integral part of ARUVA's Terms & Conditions and Privacy Policy. In case of conflict, the specific service agreement shall prevail.
